Quick Expense Report ("the app," "we," "us") is a personal expense-reporting app that helps you photograph receipts, log expenses, and generate submission-ready reports. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it's used, and your choices.
Your information is used solely to provide the app's core functionality: storing and organizing your expense reports, generating PDF and Excel exports, sending reports by email at your request, and managing your subscription. We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.
The app relies on the following third-party services to operate:
When you choose to scan a receipt with AI, the photo or PDF of that receipt is sent to Anthropic, the maker of the Claude AI model, so it can read the receipt and fill in the vendor, date, amount, and category automatically.
Anthropic processes that image only to return the extracted data back to the app — it isn't used to train its models. This only happens when AI scanning is turned on; manually entering an expense, or using the built-in document scanner without AI, never sends anything to Anthropic.
AI scanning is optional. You choose whether to turn it on the first time it's offered, and you can turn it on or off at any time from Settings.
Your data is stored on Google Firebase's infrastructure and protected by access rules that restrict it to your own account. We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app under Settings. Deleting your account permanently removes your expense reports, receipts, and account information from our systems.
Quick Expense Report is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
You may access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time through the app, or by contacting us using the information below.
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
